Panning for Gold!

Often in our lives we get a bit of a shake up. Things start to shift and change. Sometimes by choice and sometimes it’s a situation we happen to find ourselves in.

Right now, this seems to be happening for many people. Some may be looking for a new job, a new way to be living, feeling the need for change, feeling the urge to clear their living spaces. Friendships and relationships may also be going through some changes.

It can feel like everything gets shaken up and this can be unsettling. We may feel like things are falling away or no longer have a place in our lives. This can be exciting but can also feel a little scary, like we’re losing things.

What if we were to re-frame that thinking? What if we were to think of this life shake up like panning for gold?

You start off with lots and lots of ‘stuff’ in the pan but a lot of that is things you really just don’t need, no longer interest you, or no longer feel right for you anymore. With each shake of the pan and each rinse of the water, the contents begin to lessen bit by bit.

What if, at the end, you’re left with nuggets of Gold…
